Long Exposure Portrait

Ever since I got my studio strobe, I’ve been wanting to take a photo along the lines of this image. The planets aligned recently when my aunt and cousin came to town for a visit and my cousin was willing to help. I purchased a bunch of black velvet for the background and some light, flowy fabric with colors that complemented the outfit. I learned how to do a 2nd curtain sync flash and between getting the light power right and actual attempts, it took us about 130 frames to get this image. Canon R6 ii, 50mm 1.8. Shot at 2sec, f/7.1, ISO 100.
