Vitiligo Portraits
This is one of my co-workers in the Navy. She’s about to retire from service, and on her way out, she has become comfortable in her own skin and no longer embarrassed after a lifetime with Vitiligo; an autoimmune syndrome that makes skin lose its melanin. Seeing her transformation makes me so proud of her. She wanted to do this shoot as sort of a “coming out” party for her and I couldn’t be happier to deliver these images to her. Shot on Canon R6 ii, 50mm 1.8 and 70-200 2.8.
